How does the daily quote work?
Every day, our algorithm picks a quote based on what's happening in the world (holidays, seasons, trending topics) and your personal preferences. If you've set preferred categories or a mood, the quote is tailored to you.
How do I personalize my quotes?
Go to Settings > Preferences. Choose the categories that resonate with you (motivation, wisdom, mindfulness, etc.) and set your current mood. The more you interact, the better your quotes get.
Can I use the app without creating an account?
Yes! The app works fully with an anonymous device account. You'll get daily quotes, can save favorites, and create collections. Signing in with Apple, Google, or email lets you sync across devices.
What does Premium include?
Premium removes ads and unlocks unlimited favorites, unlimited collections, advanced search filters, extended daily quote history (30 days), and full access to all authors' quotes.
How do I set up the home screen widget?
On iOS, long-press your home screen, tap the "+" button, search for "Anchora", and add the Daily Quote widget. On Android, long-press your home screen, tap "Widgets", find Anchora, and drag it to your screen.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings > Account > Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data from our servers, including favorites, preferences, and collections. This action cannot be undone.
The app isn't showing new quotes. What should I do?
Try pulling down to refresh on the home screen. If that doesn't work, check your internet connection. The app caches quotes for offline use, so a new quote should appear when connectivity returns.
How do I turn off notifications?
Go to Settings > Notifications and toggle off daily reminders. You can also manage Anchora's notification permissions in your device's Settings app.
